A few months ago, Nate and I drove out to the desert with Kristen and her band and played in an abandoned water park along Route 66. It was a long day that really didn’t go according to plan but was totally fun anyway.

I just realized the other day that I never actually shared the finished video. So here it is!

This music video for the song “In Your Arms” by Kina Grannis is a stop-motion animation done with a background composed of jelly beans. It’s a crazy project that required 22 months, 1,357 hours, 30 people, and 288,000 jelly beans — and NO green screen.

AMAZING! And watch the behind the scenes here.

So a few months ago, I art directed this music video for Jordan Knight (yes…that guy from New Kids on the Block). If you can tolerate a bit of cheesy boy band pop for a sec, have a look.

There’s a few parts where the lighting makes me have a seizure but overall I think it turned out well.

I do wish you could see some of the effects that I worked really hard on though — like having to create a fake basement and flood it shin deep with water while it leaked through the ceiling. But whatever, I definitely learned a lot.

“Darling, It’s Alright” by Francis and the Lights

This video is beautiful.  “A single-take live performance, edited with light.”

ALSO, they are playing this Friday in LA and I promised Jstn that I’d go.  And he promised me that it’d be epic.

    Anyone want to go?
